GUIDE FOR PREPARATION AND SUBMITTING MANUSCRIPTS

1. Material of the manuscript to be published in the journal should have not been previously published, nor is being published or being considered for publication elsewhere.

2. Typing should be double-spaced with 12 points on a standard weight A4 white paper with margins of 3 cm observed on left and 2.5 cm other sides. Microsoft Office or upper version program will be used in typing. Two copies of the manuscript with its 3.5” disket will be submitted to the Directorate.

3. Author's name will follow the title and adress (s) should be given as footnotes.

4. An abstract not exceeding 100 words will follow the author's name.

5. Article should contain the following sections: a) Introduction , b) Material and Methods, c) Results, d) Discussion (the last two may be submitted together), e) Summary in foreign language, f) Literature citation.

6. INTRODUCTION: The problem should be briefly stated and its status prior to the experiment be clearly explained. Document literature and background information that pertainent only to the area of study and related to the problem. The objective of the experiment should conclude the first section.

7. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The material (s) and method (s) used in the study should be briefly mentioned. The descriptions, however, should be clear enough for application by another worker, if needed, and any references regarding the material and or method should be cited.

8. RESULT: The results should be presented in accordance with the experimental order. The text, tables, graphs, and photographs should be complementary to one another. Give graphs and tables as jointly and briefly as possible.

Prepare and submit graphs and figures for printing process either as photographs or drawn on heavy white paper or acetate sheet using black India ink or laser printing Photographs should be black and white and glossy in nature.

9. DISCUSSION: Interpreted the results and make comparisons with the previous or related studies and make generalizations upon the significance of the work. Support the unresolved parts of the problem with available literature and elucidate the relations between the objective and the results. Other research problems pertainent to the field of interest may be pointed out, if necessary.

10. SUMMARY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE: Submit a summary not exceeding 200 words which concisely describes the study and results to non-native workers in the field.

11. LITERATURE CITED: References should be listed to the following from: Kibar, F. ve I. Uslu, 1968. Modern meyve bahçeleri ve gübreler. Yalova Atatürk Bahçe Kültürleri Araştırma Eğitim Merkezi Dergisi 1 (2): 144-153. Place all references mentioned in the text, alphabetized by author's last name and numbered in a list at the end of paper entitled "Literature Cited". Names of authors in all citations either in the article or in the list should be written with small letters. Specify the number in the list parenthetically in the end of a sentence when citing a reference in the text, e, g., Satsuma'da yüzde meyve suları miktarı bölgelere göre değişmektedir (2). Meyve ağırlığı yönünden bölgeler arasında fark yoktur (3, 5, 12). Only cited works should be included in the reference list.

12. The last revision of the manuscript will be made by the author.

13. The journal "BAHÇE" owns all the copyrights of the articles to be published.

14. The material manuscript, so far as the author knows, is under his responsibility and should not infringe upon other published material protected by copyright.

15. No financial grant for copyright is payable to the contributor. Authors whose articles have been accepted are entitled to receive 15 copies of reprints.
