SUMMARY This experiment was conducted at the Institute, being a portion of a nation-wide project, to determine the most suitable rootstocks and locations for c.v. “Müşküle” and “Razakı” widely grown in South Marmara Region. 8 American-grape-rootstocks were employed with this project to carry out affinity study and results were obtained in 1995. A parallel project, with which only c.v. “Müşküle” used, was set up in a farmer’s field in İznik. With this project the combinations of selected clone “M-58” of “Müşküle” with the same rootstocks were investigated for their affinity and the first yield was obtained in 1995. According to project’s programme, the vines were evaluated for their vegetative growth, and cluster structure and colour after flowering and prior to harvest. At harvest cluster weight, 100-berry-weight, TSS% in juice and acid measurement were done. |
