Olive Researches on The Training of Olive Trees in Marmara Region

According to 8 year results the differences were not important statistically among the tried systems in relation to yield per decar and cumulative yield per trunk cross-sectional area. However, in the first years of the trial, pyramid shape showed good performances, in recent years goblet shape seemed to be better. On the other hand, there were not any differences with regard to flesh/stone ratio and 100 fruit weight. The trees showed a growth tendency towards to goblet shape. Therefore, the goblet shape could be recommended.
